ABC's Sam Champion turns out in Bridgehampton
ABC weatherman Sam Champion, like many in the news community, was talking about Tim Russert, this weekend. At a Hamptons Magazine Veuve Clicquot tasting dinner Saturday night in Bridgehampton, Champion, who has conducted his fair share of interviews substituting for Regis Philbin with Kelly Ripa, told dinner companions: “Russert asked questions in a way we were comfortable with. People don’t want to hear everyone arguing. They want to hear answers. They want to know things. Russert was a huge presence and a pleasure to watch.”
