RovzarBODY: Welcome to Memorial Day Weekend. Heading to the East End?
Your host for this holiday will be Niche Media publisher Jason Binn. Continuing his two-year stranglehold on Hamptons' social life, the 37-year-old mag mogul will be front and center at no less than three highprofile Hamptons parties this weekend - starting with his annual Memorial Day bash at his Southampton home tomorrow evening, with finger food courtesy of the Four Seasons' Julian Niccolini. The party is expected to continue as guests trek over to Wainscott's piping-hot Star Room. Binn continues his reign of terror Sunday night with a Hamptons magazine bash celebrating cover model Kyra Sedgwick at the Bridgehampton Tennis Club - followed by an after-party at Cain. That's right, Cain. You read correctly.Jamie Mulholland, owner of Chelsea's South African-themed nightclub, will open Cain at Cabana in Southampton this weekend. The new Cain will feature an interior by designer Robert McKinley and will include an outdoor seating area featuring beds and lounge chairs. Cain also will play host to a Life & Style party tomorrow night. Expect great, sweaty things from this place. You thought you'd heard the last from obscure Russian heiress Anna Anisimova, didn't you? We hoped so, too, but apparently the young lass is throwing a bash at her Watermill house tomorrow night, transforming the pad into a Moroccan oasis. Quaint it ain't. Todd Mallis is spinning, and Anisimova's inviting the usual socialite suspects out east. The after-party will be at the official re-launch of Tavern. Since everything old is new again, Tavern at the Capri Motel in Southampton is looking to reinvent itself with a little help from Lotus' Mark Baker and Butter's Scott Sartiano and Richie Akiva. And speaking of things old, you might want to pop into Jet East Sunday night, where Manhattan's Don Hill's club will host an '80s rock night. For those not headed to the East End tomorrow, don't forget it's opening weekend at nearby Coney Island. The freak show is back in business, with burlesque tomorrow night at 10, featuring Heather Holliday, the world's youngest female sword swallower.Further south, Skid Row, Slaughter, Fog Hat, Lou Gramm and the Blue Oyster Cult kick off tomorrow's grand opening of the Nikki Beach entertainment complex at Resorts Atlantic City.On Monday, the beach party begins on the center stage and will include Beach Party DJs and an Elbo Room bikini contest.Fire Island is always packed for Mem Day weekend, and while there are no official kick-off the summer parties, internationally renowned DJ Susan Morabito is playing the Pines Pavillion on Saturday evening and promises to draw in her usual crowd.
